The move will provide much-needed relief for US coffee roasters and consumers, who have faced soaring costs since the Trump administration imposed an additional 40% levy on Brazilian imports in August 2025

US President Donald Trump has continued to roll back sweeping trade tariffs by removing his additional 40% import levy on Brazilian food products. The move effectively rolls back all trade tariffs on coffee imports from the South American country introduced after April 2025.
