US consumers are likely to bear the brunt of the Trump administration’s latest trade levy, which could also see Brazilian coffee farmers and exporters pivot towards China 

The US coffee industry is in uncharted territory after the Trump administration increased its levy on imports from Brazil to 50%, effective 6 August 2025.
