For the first time, a US convenience chain has launched a standalone drive-thru coffee concept

The US drive-thru coffee shop market is booming and shows no signs of slowing down.

World Coffee Portal research shows that specialist operators Dutch Bros, 7 Brew and Scooter’s Coffee were the fastest-growing branded coffee chains in the US last year, with drive-thru segment expansion outperforming wider market growth.

The format is also attracting significant interest from private equity firms, large multinational franchise groups and, now, a Montana-based convenience store chain.
