Missouri-based food-to-go and coffee chain Panera Bread will relocate its headquarters next year as part of CEO Paul Carbone’s multi-million-dollar Panera RISE turnaround strategy.

Founded in 1987 as St. Louis Bread Co, Panera rebranded in 1997 and today is the third-largest branded coffee chain in the US, with over 2,200 stores. It still trades as St. Louis Bread Co. in its home county of St. Louis, where it has nearly 100 stores.
