Sustainability is an increasingly integral part of Evoca’s business, shaping product innovation, climate action, governance and employee engagement

Sustainability creates value when it shapes industrial choices and delivers tangible improvements to products, services and relationships across the value chain. For Evoca, this means combining energy efficiency, durability and repairability with people’s skills, responsible sourcing and governance based on reliable data.

A driver of innovation and competitiveness

In the professional coffee equipment sector, sustainability connects quality, performance, environmental impact, operating costs and regulatory readiness throughout the product life cycle, from design and sourcing to manufacturing, use and maintenance.

Evoca has translated this approach into measurable commitments, including emissions reduction targets validated by the Science Based Targets initiative. In 2025, the group achieved a 30% reduction in emissions intensity compared with 2022.

Measurement that guides decisions

The use phase accounts for a significant share of equipment’s carbon footprint. Measuring energy consumption guides product development towards solutions that deliver benefits throughout a machine’s lifetime.

Evoca’s Product Carbon Footprint Tool, aligned with ISO 14067 and validated by an independent third party, combines data on materials and components, production processes, energy consumption and standardised use profiles. In 2025, it covered 88% of product families.

Data supports design and customer dialogue. It enables Evoca to compare alternatives and provide useful information. The online Product Carbon Footprint calculator and the Product Quality and Sustainability Pass, introduced on selected new machines, make information on carbon footprint, quality, service and recyclability more accessible.

Value across the life cycle

Energy efficiency reduces emissions and operating costs, while reliability, durability, ease of maintenance and spare parts availability protect the customer’s investment and extend the productive life of equipment.

In 2025, every machine assessed achieved a repairability score of at least eight out of 10. More than 75% of components were available as spare parts, with availability guaranteed for at least ten years. Over 400 technicians and engineers received maintenance and repair training, while the Newlife programme supported this by recovering, recertifying and returning selected parts to productive use. Packaging for new machines was fully recyclable.

Together, energy, water, cleaning, maintenance, spare parts and downtime provide a more complete view of Total Cost of Ownership and the value generated throughout a machine’s operating life.

Shared responsibility

Sustainability becomes tangible through the everyday decisions of those who design products, source materials, manage suppliers, support customers and present solutions to the market. Evoca therefore integrates ESG topics into learning programmes, alongside well-being, diversity, health and safety.

In 2025, Evoca assessed around 80% of eligible suppliers, representing almost 90% of spend within this perimeter. The Supplier Code of Conduct, ESG monitoring and Procurement training support continuous improvement and more robust product data.

Governance, transparency and trust

Reliable data and clear responsibilities connect sustainability with risk management, compliance and decision-making. External assessments, including the EcoVadis Platinum medal and CDP Climate A− rating, provide valuable benchmarks and encourage continued progress.

This is the meaning of Brewing Connections: bringing together people, technology, customers and the value chain to improve performance, strengthen competitiveness and create lasting value.
