Circle K parent company Alimentation Couche-Tard is set to massively expand its self-serve coffee reach in Europe following the largest acquisition in its history.
Québec-based Couche-Tard currently operates nearly 5,000 Circle K convenience stores in Europe, spanning Scandinavia, the Baltics, Benelux, Germany, Poland and Ireland.
It is now adding a further 13,000 convenience stores to its footprint with the acquisition of Poland’s Żabka Group for $8.7bn.
