Chief Financial Officer Richard Roth assumes the role after six-months as Acting CEO and will focus on increasing the group’s profitability and market share
Stockholm-based office coffee supplier Beans in Cup has appointed Richard Roth as its new CEO.
Roth, who joined Beans in Cup as Chief Financial Officer in 2019, has been serving as Acting CEO since January 2025. As permanent CEO, Roth will focus on improving profitability and increasing Beans in Cup’s market share in the Swedish office coffee market, the group said in a press release.
“Richard's deep insight into our business and his strategic understanding make him the right person to lead Beans in Cup through the next phase,” said Mats Ulvtorp, Chairman of the Board, Beans in Cup.
Roth will also continue to serve as Chief Financial Officer until a successor is appointed.
Beans in Cup was founded in 2017 through the merger of three Swedish coffee companies, InCup, Beans and Kaffebönan, by Swedish investment group Pamica – which owns a 96% stake in the business.
Beans in Cup supplies a range of WMF, Thermoplan, Animo and Etna bean-to-cup coffee machines for Swedish workplaces. It also provides full-service support and coffee from a range of roaster partners, including Kaffebönan, Lavazza, Löfbergs, Arvid Nordquist, Zoégas and BKI Foods.
In May 2024, Beans in Cup broadened its offer by acquiring meal solutions provider HGM Dryckservice AB for an undisclosed sum. The group operates 20 regional offices across Sweden.
