The Mumbai-based supplier is weighing into the Indian branded coffee shop market with its rare estate-to-cup model

Super-premium Indian coffee group Nandan Coffee is accelerating its pivot from B2B supplier to café-first business with bold expansion plans – opening a new competition front in the country’s flourishing specialty coffee market.

Nandan was founded by Shyam and Farida Mariwala in 1997 on the Nandanvan Estate in Kodaikanal, Tamil Nadu. It operated solely as a wholesale specialty coffee business until 2018, when, under the new ownership of sisters Yahvi and Parthivi Mariwala, it began selling freshly brewed coffee at farmer markets and food festivals in Mumbai.
