Mammoth Coffee has become the latest low-cost operator to reach 1,000 stores in the increasingly value-led South Korean branded coffee shop market.

Founded in 2012, Mammoth is known for its larger cup sizes, flavoured beverages and on-the-go Express stores. The Seoul-based operator sells its signature 940ml iced americano for ₩3,500 ($2.37) and has gained traction among young consumers with creations such as Extra Shot Pineapple Espressos, Banana Lattes and Lemon Tonic Cold Brews.

Mammoth reached the 1,000-store milestone with a new outlet in the Yangcheon-gu district of Seoul, just over a month after being acquired by Singapore-based Orchestra Private Equity.
