For the first time in four years, Tim Hortons has returned to annual outlet growth in Canada, but it’s not all plain sailing in one of its key international growth markets

With more than 33,000 outlets globally under its Tim Hortons, Burger King, Popeyes and Firehouse Subs chains, Restaurant Brands International (RBI) operates one of the largest and most recognisable F&B portfolios in the world.

Now, two weeks after posting record $9.4bn annual revenues, the Canadian hospitality group has unveiled new 2028 growth targets for its Tim Hortons coffee chain that hinge on sustained domestic expansion and reversing declining sales in a key international market.
