Petrol station coffee is big business in Thailand, and competition is heating up among the country’s three largest coffee chains

Thailand is home to the third-largest branded coffee shop market in East Asia by outlets.

It is also one of the region’s most top-heavy coffee chain markets. The largest three operators, Café Amazon, PunThai Coffee and Inthanin, hold a collective market share of around 70%.

All three are owned by large energy conglomerates and have significant footprints across their respective parent company’s petrol station forecourt networks – a key battleground for convenience-focused coffee operators.
