The SPC Group subsidiary opened 19 new stores across the US and Canada in the three months ended 30 June 2025 and posted its 18th consecutive quarter of positive like-for-like sales growth
Paris Baguette North America has set its sights on reaching 300 stores by the end of 2025 after reporting strong outlet growth across the second quarter.
Owned by South Korean F&B conglomerate SPC Group, Paris Baguette launched in the US in 2005, began franchising in 2015 and opened its first store in Canada in March 2023.
The premium bakery-café chain built on a robust first quarter to open 18 net new outlets in the US, including a first store in Oklahoma, and a single site in Canada during the three months ended 30 June 2025. It currently operates over 230 sites in the US and 13 in Canada and expects to add more than 60 new stores across both markets by the end of 2025.
In a press release, Paris Baguette North America said it had awarded 135 franchise deals and signed 100 new leases during the first half of 2025. The bakery-café group’s expansion is positively driving sales growth, with CEO Darren Tipton highlighting 18 consecutive quarters of positive like-for-like sales growth and 17 consecutive quarters of increased footfall across its stores.
“Our sustained growth is a testament to the strength of our brand and the dedication of our franchise partners. We’re excited to continue this momentum into the second half of the year and beyond, bringing the Paris Baguette experience to new communities all over North America,” he said.
Paris Baguette’s planned outlet growth in North America is being supported by investments in production infrastructure in the US. In February 2025, Seoul-based SPC Group broke ground on a new 260,000sq ft, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Texas, US, which will better position the group to achieve its goal of operating 1,000 outlets in the US and 100 in Canada by 2030.
Founded in 1988, Paris Baguette is one of the largest branded coffee chains in South Korea with 3,750 stores. The Seoul-based bakery-café chain made its international debut in China in 2004 with an outlet in Shanghai and now operates more than 600 sites across 14 international markets.
