The Indonesian on-the-go coffee chain is seeking to build on a strong performance in 2025, which culminated in a return to profitability after five successive years of losses

Backed by high-profile celebrity investors such as Jay-Z and Serena Williams, Kopi Kenangan has scaled significantly since raising $96m in a Series C funding round in December 2021 – with a footprint spanning Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, India, Australia and, most recently, Taiwan.

After turning its first profit for five years in 2025, the Jakarta-based coffee chain is readying itself for even greater growth.
