Einstein Bros. Bagels appoints new Chief Marketing Officer

Jessica Serrano brings extensive fast-casual marketing experience, having held senior roles at US QSR giants Taco Bell and Burger King

US bakery-café chain Einstein Bros. Bagels has appointed former Taco Bell and Burger King executive Jessica Serrano as its new Chief Marketing Officer.  

Serrano will oversee brand, digital, culinary innovation and guest experience strategy for the 700-store chain, which is part of JAB Holding Company-backed fast-casual group, Panera Brands

Serrano began her career with Kraft Foods Group, now part of Kraft Heinz, before being appointed Brand Marketing Manager at Taco Bell in May 2014 and Senior Director for Marketing Strategy for fast-food giant Burger King in February 2021. She most recently served as Chief Marketing Officer for New York-based fast-casual restaurant chain Dig Inn, where she is credited with leading a transformative brand turnaround and spearheading the launch of the brand’s first-ever sandwich range.  

Einstein Bros. Bagels is part of Panera Brands’ offshoot, Bagel Brands, which also includes over 200 Bruegger’s, Noah’s and Manhattan Bagels stores. Panera Brands also comprises the Panera Bread and Caribou Coffee chains.
