The beverage, yoghurt and RTD coffee group’s 115,000sq ft Jacksonville facility will boost supply chain and distribution capabilities for its STōK Cold Brew Coffee and International Delight creamer ranges
Danone US has recommenced full operations at its manufacturing facility in Jacksonville, Florida, following a $65m investment to increase production of its bottled ready-to-drink (RTD) STōK Cold Brew Coffee and International Delight creamer ranges.
The group, a subsidiary of French beverage and dairy giant Danone, said the expanded 115,000sq ft facility will strengthen its domestic supply chain. The site precedes a planned new distribution centre in the city to further streamline Danone US’ production and supply networks across Southeastern US states.
Combined, the new sites will contribute to increased product availability for Danone’s US retail partners, which include major supermarket and convenience chains 7-Eleven, Target, Costco and Walmart.
“We are focused on serving our consumers as our business continues to grow and innovate, and we are committed to accelerating these investments to play our part in driving economic growth,” said Dan Magliocco, President, Danone North America.
Approximately 90% of Danone products in the US are made domestically, with Danone US operating a further 12 manufacturing facilities across 10 US states. The group’s other products include bottled water giant Evian, health-focused yoghurt business Activia and plant-based beverage, creamer and yogurt alternative brand Silk.
