Existing franchisee Namrata Pandya has signed an agreement to open nine new Black Sheep Coffee outlets across the London boroughs of Harrow, Barnet, Camden and Southwark
Black Sheep Coffee is set to accelerate outlet growth in London after signing a nine-store expansion deal with an existing franchisee.
Founded by Eirik Holth and Gabriel Shohet, Black Sheep opened its first outlet in the London borough of Camden in 2013 and currently operates 106 UK stores – 54 of which are in the capital.
In a press release, the specialty robusta chain said that franchisee Namrata Pandya, who currently operates a single Black Sheep store in Watford, will take on exclusive development rights for the London boroughs of Harrow, Barnet, Camden and Southwark, which it described as among the UK capital’s most densely populated and culturally vibrant communities.
Black Sheep has operated a store in Southwark since 2018 and, after closing its original Camden store, relaunched in the North London borough in 2024.
The agreement comes less than a month after Black Sheep signed a 10-store deal to expand across North Scotland – an agreement which saw the brand allocate every region in the country to franchise partners.
Black Sheep Coffee also operates a handful of international stores in the UAE, the US and France. In May 2023, the specialty robusta chain signed a 30-year franchise agreement with Al Farran Group to open 250 stores across the Middle East within 15 years.
