London-based coffee chain Perks & White is set to open its fifth store in the capital in February 2023.
Founded by Jason Perks and Dickon White in 2014, Perks & White currently operates four outlets across South London’s Herne Hill and Tulse Hill neighbourhoods.
The company, which sources its coffee from London-based small batch coffee roaster Volcano Coffee Works, will open its fifth store in St James Market, a high footfall location which boasts a comprehensive hospitality scene.
The market, close to Regent Street, features a strong coffee shop presence, including Costa Coffee, Caffé Nero, Ole & Steen, Paul, Pret A Manger, Redemption Roasters and The Gentlemen Baristas.
In a press release Perks & White said it would continue using local suppliers for its food and beverages, alongside its bespoke Volcano Coffee Works house blend and rotating guest espresso coffee.

Social enterprise-focused Change Please, Cardiff-based Coffi Lab, Bath-based Society Café and fellow London-based Nkora all reached or exceeded the five-store milestone in the UK last year, alongside US chain Roasting Plant, which now operates five stores in the UK alongside five across the US.
World Coffee Portal research forecasts the 9,800-strong UK branded coffee shop market will surpass 10,200 outlets next year and 11,600 outlets by 2028.
