News Writer (Freelance, paternity leave cover)
World Coffee Portal is seeking an experienced and detail-orientated journalist to cover the weekday news desk during a two-week period in late April. The ideal candidate will be a flexible freelance writer with proven experience covering breaking business stories for the coffee and hospitality industries.
You'll have a keen eye for detail and be experienced in sourcing and global news stories on prominent coffee shop operators, coffee roasters, packaged coffee brands, espresso machine manufacturers and green coffee traders.
You'll be able to analyse and dissect complex financial results to provide the story behind the numbers. You'll have an in-depth knowledge of the big issues facing coffee businesses today and a deep understanding of current coffee and hospitality trends globally.
There is also an opportunity for the successful candidate to undertake further freelance editorial commissions for World Coffee Portal and 5THWAVE magazine.
