Gorillas has launched a click and collect concession coffee site within its London Finchley Road location, the first of its kind for the Berlin-based grocery delivery company.

The store, which has been renamed Gorillas Coffee + Collect, will be operated by UK-based café chain and social enterprise Change Please.

Gorillas, which traditionally operates via a courier service, said that it is maximising retail space by repurposing an unused area of its store.

The on-demand delivery company, which promises to deliver goods in as little as 10 minutes, launched in London in 2021.

In June 2022, Gorillas launched four private label brands, including a packaged coffee range, in the UK, Germany, France and the Netherlands.

Change Please, which supplies coffee to AMT Coffee’s 40 UK stores, currently operates seven further sites across London and Manchester. The company dedicates 100% of its profits to supporting those experiencing homelessness to attain housing, living wage employment and training.

In April 2022 the company joined Tesco’s Craft Coffee launch, extending its retail reach across 64 of the UK supermarket’s stores.
