Subscription Terms and Conditions

1. About Our Terms

We are World Coffee Portal Ltd, part of the Allegra Group. World Coffee Portal Ltd is a company registered in England, under the registration number 08736608. The registered address is 106 Arlington Road, London NW1 7HP. World Coffee Portal Ltd is part of the Group VAT registration, with VAT registration number GB303031474.

These Terms and Conditions apply whenever you use World Coffee Portal (worldcoffeeportal.com), access the content and services available on it, and/or purchase access to those services on a subscription basis.

By accessing, using, or subscribing to World Coffee Portal, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before subscribing.Your use of worldcoffeeportal.com is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference and can be found at https://www.worldcoffeeportal.com/privacy-policy/.

2. Subscription Plans

2.1 Available Plans

World Coffee Portal offers the following subscription types:

  • Digital Subscription — access to worldcoffeeportal.com, its digital content, Weekly Coffee Dose and Coffee 24/7 newsletters;
  • Digital + Print Subscription — access to worldcoffeeportal.com, its digital content, Weekly Coffee Dose and Coffee 24/7 newsletters plus delivery of 5THWAVE Magazine; and
  • Trial Subscriptions — promotional access at a reduced or nominal fee for a defined period, as described at the point of sign-up.

Corporate and multi-seat licences are available but cannot be purchased online. Please contact enquiries@worldcoffeeportal.com for details.

2.2 Account Access

Each Subscription is granted to a single named user account unless otherwise agreed in writing. Account credentials must not be shared with or transferred to any third party. We reserve the right to suspend or cancel a Subscription where we have reason to believe access rights are being shared.

2.3 Account Transfers

Subscriptions are non-transferable between individuals. Where a Subscriber leaves an organisation, responsibility for the Subscription remains with the original account holder unless World Coffee Portal is notified in writing and a transfer is agreed.3. Trial Periods and Auto-Renewal

3.1 Trial Offers

From time to time, World Coffee Portal may offer a Trial Subscription at a reduced or nominal fee. The full subscription price payable upon conclusion of the trial period is presented to the Subscriber at the point of sign-up and forms part of the agreement.

You may not hold more than one Trial Subscription in any twelve-month period. We reserve the right to cancel any Trial Subscription, without refund, if you have had access to another Trial Subscription in the previous twelve months.

3.2 Auto-Renewal

Unless cancelled before the end of the Trial Period or the current Billing Period, Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current rate. By completing sign-up, you authorise World Coffee Portal to charge the payment method on file at each renewal date.

3.3 Renewal Reminders

For annual Subscriptions, we will send a reminder notice to your registered email address at least 14 days before the renewal date, stating the rate that will apply for the renewal period.

3.4 Cancellation Before Renewal

To avoid being charged for a renewal period, cancellation must be submitted before the renewal date and time. Cancellations submitted after a renewal payment has been processed will take effect at the end of the current Billing Period. You will retain access until the close of the paid period.

4. Cancellation

4.1 How to Cancel

You may cancel your Subscription at any time by logging into your account, navigating to My Account > Change My Subscription > Cancel, or by contacting us at info@worldcoffeeportal.com. Cancellation prevents future renewals but does not entitle you to a refund of any amount already charged.

4.2 Effect of Cancellation

Upon cancellation, access to World Coffee Portal content will continue until the end of the current Billing Period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time within a Billing Period.

4.3 Our Cancellation Rights

We may suspend or terminate your Subscription without refund if you breach these Terms and Conditions, or in the event of abusive, offensive or aggressive conduct directed towards our team. We may also suspend or terminate your Subscription if we are prevented from providing services by applicable law or circumstances beyond our reasonable control, in which case we will issue a pro rata refund to the extent permitted by applicable law.

5. Your Statutory Cancellation Rights

By placing an order for a Digital Subscription or Digital + Print Subscription, you agree that we may begin providing your Subscription immediately upon acceptance of your order. You expressly acknowledge that, by requesting immediate access to digital content, you waive your statutory 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

This means that once we have confirmed your Subscription by email and access has commenced, any cancellation notice you provide will only take effect at the end of your current Billing Period. You will not be entitled to a refund except where there is a fault in our provision of services.

6. Print Delivery — 5THWAVE Magazine

6.1 Eligibility

Print delivery of 5THWAVE Magazine is included with Digital + Print Subscriptions and is available worldwide.

6.2 Delivery

We will deliver 5THWAVE Magazine to the address provided during the sign-up process. It is your responsibility to ensure your delivery address is accurate and kept up to date via My Account. We do not guarantee delivery to non-secure locations.

6.3 Non-Delivery

If you do not receive an expected issue, please contact us at info@worldcoffeeportal.com within 14 days of the expected delivery date and we will investigate accordingly.

6.4 Change of Address

To update your delivery address, please contact us at info@worldcoffeeportal.com at least 5 working days before the next issue dispatch date. If we are unable to deliver to your new address, we will cancel your Digital + Print Subscription and issue a pro rata refund for any undelivered issues, and at your option transfer you to a Digital Subscription.

7. Refund Policy

All Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law or as expressly set out in these Terms and Conditions. In particular:

  • Charges processed prior to a cancellation request are not eligible for refund.
  • Trial Period charges are non-refundable once the Trial Period has commenced.
  • World Coffee Portal reserves the right to make exceptions to this policy at its sole discretion on a case-by-case basis. Any such exception does not constitute a waiver of this policy for future transactions.

8. Payment Terms

8.1 Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely via a third-party payment provider. World Coffee Portal does not store full payment card details. By providing payment information, you authorise recurring charges in accordance with your chosen Subscription plan.

8.2 Failed Payments

In the event of a failed payment, we reserve the right to suspend access to your Subscription until the outstanding amount is settled. We may attempt to reprocess a failed payment and will notify you accordingly.

8.3 Pricing Changes

We reserve the right to amend Subscription pricing at any time. Where a price increase applies to an existing Subscription, we will provide at least 14 days' written notice prior to the change taking effect at your next renewal date. Continued use of your Subscription after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised pricing. If you do not accept the revised pricing, you may cancel your Subscription in accordance with Clause 4 before the change takes effect.

9. Intellectual Property and Use of Content

9.1 Ownership

All content published on worldcoffeeportal.com, including articles, reports, data, graphics, and any other materials (together "WCP Content"), is owned by or licensed to Allegra Group. All intellectual property rights in WCP Content are reserved.

9.2 Permitted Use

Access to WCP Content is granted solely for the named Subscriber's personal or internal business use. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, redistribute, or transmit any WCP Content, in whole or in part, in any form — whether digital or print — without our prior written permission.

9.3 Prohibited Use

You must not use WCP Content for any commercial purpose, including resale, redistribution, or publication to any third party. Any use of WCP Content for machine learning, artificial intelligence training, or any automated data extraction purpose is strictly prohibited.

9.4 Reporting Infringement

If you become aware of any unauthorised use of WCP Content, please notify us at info@worldcoffeeportal.com.

10. Acceptable Use

You agree to access worldcoffeeportal.com and WCP Content only through authorised means and in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. You must not:

  • attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with any access controls or security features of the platform;
  • use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access, extract, or index any WCP Content;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform or any account other than your own; or
  • use the platform in any way that is unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful to World Coffee Portal or any third party.

11. Service Availability

World Coffee Portal will use reasonable efforts to ensure that worldcoffeeportal.com is available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. We reserve the right to suspend or withdraw access to the platform at any time for operational, maintenance, or other reasons.

If worldcoffeeportal.com is unavailable or inaccessible for a continuous period of 72 hours or more as a direct result of a fault on our part, you may terminate your Subscription in writing and we will refund any amount paid in advance that relates to the remaining period of your Subscription.

12. Force Majeure

World Coffee Portal shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under these Terms and Conditions where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, pandemic, failure of third-party systems or networks, or industrial action.

13. Limitation of Liability

World Coffee Portal provides its services and content on an 'as is' basis and makes no warranty, express or implied, regarding fitness for any particular purpose. We will use reasonable efforts to ensure that worldcoffeeportal.com is accurate, up to date, and available, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access.

Except for any legal responsibility that we cannot exclude by law (such as for death or personal injury caused by our negligence), our total liability to you shall not exceed the total sums paid by you for your current Subscription. We shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or business losses, loss of profits, loss of data, or loss of anticipated savings.

14. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising in connection with a Subscription shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

15. Changes to These Terms and Conditions

We may update these Terms and Conditions for legal or regulatory reasons, or to reflect changes in our services or business practices. Where you are a paying Subscriber, any changes will become effective from the date of your next payment following the change, unless we notify you otherwise. We will provide notice of any significant changes to your registered email address.
