Jollibee Foods Corporation (JFC) has announced it will open the first Common Man Coffee Roasters in the Philippines before the end of 2023.

The Filipino fast-food giant will open the outlet at Ayala Triangle Gardens – a commercial area in Makati, housing 15 cafés and restaurants alongside a 20,000sq m urban park.

“Location is key in establishing Common Man’s foothold in the country. The Ayala Triangle Gardens is at the heart of Makati’s Central Business District and a hub for many great concepts in the city. For this reason, it is only fitting that we set up shop in this prime location that will enable us to fully bring the signature Common Man Coffee Roasters concept to life,” said William Tan Untiong, Chief Real Estate and Design Officer, JFC.

Founded in 2013, Common Man Coffee Roasters currently operates six outlets in Singapore alongside two sites in Malaysia. The all-day concept serves a range of coffee, juices, small plates and alcoholic beverages alongside an evening bar and dinner menu.

In August 2023, JFC entered a joint venture with Singapore-based Food Collective Pte. Ltd. (FCPL) to launch Common Man Coffee Roasters and Tiong Bahru Bakery in the Philippines. JFC owns 60% of the business.

JFC operates more than 6,500 outlets globally across its 16-strong food and beverage portfolio, which includes its eponymous fast-food restaurant chain Jollibee and coffee chains Highlands Coffee and The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf.
