South Korean bakery café chain TOUS le JOURS is targeting further US expansion over the next 12 months following sustained outlet growth in 2022.

The company, which operates more than 80 stores in the US and 1,650 globally, said it opened 14 new stores and entered seven new states across the last 12 months.

Following debuts in Indiana, Nevada and Ohio in December 2022, TOUS les JOURS is set to add to its existing 27 outlets in North Carolina, California and New York in January 2023.

“2022 was a banner year for TOUS les JOURS, which ended with the December addition of three new locations in three new states, and we are proud to be dotting the US map and expanding our accessibility for guests around the country. As we enter new markets, we continue to experience an incredible amount of enthusiasm from these communities, and we are excited to maintain the momentum throughout 2023, as we expand our presence to new areas and invite new customers to experience the TOUS les JOURS brand,” said Sam Hong, Business Development Manager, TOUS les JOURS.

Founded in South Korea in 1997, TOUS les JOURS began franchising in the US in 2004 and is targeting 100 stores across the country in 2023, and 1,000 by 2030.

In November 2022, the bakery café chain announced total sales growth of 22% in its third quarter following the steady expansion of its franchise network.

The café chain, which also has a presence in South Korea, China, Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines and Cambodia, is considering Canada and South America as potential new markets following its expansion in the US.
