Caffè Nero is expanding hot beverage and food delivery across the UK with a new Deliveroo partnership.

London-based Deliveroo will begin delivering from more than 400 of the coffee chain's UK stores from late November.

In January 2022, one in four UK consumers surveyed by World Coffee Portal indicated they would be open to beverage delivery if the option were more readily available across the country.

Caffè Nero achieved 10% sales growth across its delivery channels between June-September 2022.

“I’m delighted Caffè Nero has joined the Deliveroo platform in the UK. We’ve seen consistent and continued growth in our delivery service since it launched which demonstrates the huge demand for Caffè Nero among our customers, whether they are visiting us in store or enjoying our products further afield. The popularity and reach of Deliveroo will continue to strengthen the delivery service we offer. It’s a great partnership,” said Will Stratton-Morris, CEO, Caffè Nero UK.

The partnership represents further expansion of Caffè Nero’s ‘New Channels Strategy’, launched during the pandemic to diversify sales beyond retail outlets.

The coffee chain partnered with delivery platform Just Eat in May 2022, complementing a branded at-home coffee range available on its website, e-commerce giant Amazon and UK supermarkets Sainsbury’s and Waitrose

Founded in 1997, Caffè Nero currently operates more than 650 stores across the UK. In October 2022 the coffee chain announced robust trading for the first four months of its financial year, with sales at 107% of pre-pandemic levels
