Minnesota-based Dunn Brothers Coffee has appointed former Mooyah executive Alexis Gillette as its new Vice President of Marketing. 
 

Gillette has more than 20 years of in-house brand and agency experience, including with US fast-food chains Raising Cane’s and Mooyah. She most recently ran a business consultancy and worked with leading restaurant and retail brands, including 7-Eleven, Smoothie King and JCPenney. 

In a press release, Dunn Brothers Coffee said Gillette will lead its group marketing strategy and have responsibility for research and development, customer loyalty and guest engagement. 

“We have a long runway to breathe some new life into an eclectic brand with a rich history of quality coffee experiences, a dedication to each community, and a connection with each customer it serves. I’m eager to work with the leadership team and our franchise owners,” said Gillette.  

Dunn Brothers Coffee added that Gillette’s background in franchising and fast-casual concepts will also be key to adapting the business to new domestic markets as it seeks to open 250 stores across the US over the next five years.

Formed in 1987, Dunn Brothers Coffee currently operates 50 outlets across Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, North Dakota, South Dakota, Texas and Wisconsin. In July 2022, the coffee chain was acquired by private investment firm Gala Capital Partners for an undisclosed sum.
