US quick-service group Inspire Brands has reached 10,000 international outlets with a new Dunkin’ store in Lelystad, the Netherlands.

International locations now make up more than 30% of Inspire Brands’ total 32,600-store portfolio.

The Atlanta-based group is currently present in 57 markets globally via its Dunkin’, Arby’s, Baskin-Robbins, Buffalo Wild Wings, Jimmy John’s and Sonic foodservice brands.

Dunkin’ stores comprise approximately 40% of Inspire Brands’ international footprint with more than 4,000 sites across 38 international markets. The donut and coffee chain's three largest international markets are South Korea, the Philippines and Saudi Arabia, with 900, 800 and 600 stores respectively. Dunkin’ currently operates 55 stores in the Netherlands.

“Inspire had a banner year for international growth in 2023, and 2024 is off to an incredible start. Our brands resonate with both international consumers and operators alike,” said Michael Haley, President & Managing Director International, Inspire Brands.

Inspire Brands was formed in 2018 when fast food sandwich restaurant chain Arby’s acquired Buffalo Wild Wings and Rusty Taco.

The quick-service group purchased drive-in fast-food chain Sonic in December 2018 and sandwich delivery company Jimmy John’s in 2019 before acquiring Dunkin’ Brands, comprising coffee and donut chain Dunkin’ and ice cream chain Baskin-Robbins, in December 2020.

With approximately 9,500 stores, Dunkin’ is the second largest branded coffee chain in the US behind Starbucks which has nearly 16,500 US sites.
