Scooter’s Coffee and its vertically integrated roasting division Harvest Roasting will open a new distribution centre in Indiana to support its expanding store network in the Midwest. 
 

The drive-thru coffee chain currently operates nearly 800 stores across 30 states and is seeking to reach 1,000 stores by the end of the year. The Midwest states of Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Illinois currently account for more than 50% of Scooter’s Coffee’s footprint. 

Scooter’s Coffee said the 183,000sq ft Indianapolis facility will directly support over 300 stores across new and growing markets in the region.

It will also improve the service of Harvest Roasting with shorter delivery times and more efficient inventory management. Harvest Roasting is the sole coffee supplier to Scooter’s Coffee’s outlets.

Adding the Indianapolis distribution centre ensures we can support future Scooter’s Coffee locations in new and growing markets,” said Brian Stoufer, Vice President of Distribution, Scooter’s Coffee. 

The Indianapolis distribution centre will be the sixth and largest in Scooter’s Coffee’s supply chain network – adding to two sites in Nebraska and facilities in Missouri, Texas and Georgia. 

The announcement follows the appointment of Nick Jarecke as Chief Supply Chain Officer in December 2023. Alongside establishing an efficient distribution network to support Scooter’s Coffee outlet growth, Jarecke is also responsible for cost management, logistics and supplier relationships.
