US coffee roaster and café operator Sightglass Coffee has appointed former Starbucks executive Sharon Healy as its new CEO to lead its next phase of growth.

In an announcement on the appointment, Sightglass Coffee Co-founder Jerad Morrison highlighted Healy’s track record creating new revenue streams and growing market share with major food and beverage retailers as key assets.

Sightglass Coffee currently operates a roastery and three stores in San Francisco alongside a single site in Los Angeles.

Healy joins the business from California-based plant-based food manufacturer Urban Remedy where she served as Vice President of Retail and Wholesale Business Development. She previously spent nine years at Starbucks between 2008-2017, serving as National Account Executive for three of the Seattle-based coffee chain’s largest licensees – Safeway, Kroger, and Sodexo.

“Sightglass is a special brand adored by those who cherish super-premium coffee. I'm excited for the opportunity to introduce our brand to a wider audience and guide it toward its full potential,” Healy said.

Sightglass Coffee was founded in 2009 by brothers Jerad and Justin Morrison. As part of the leadership transition, both have ‘stepped down from the business’ to pursue other endeavors.
