Moscow-based Dodo Brands has opened its first dual-brand store, combining its flagship Dodo Pizza and Drinkit coffee chains at a single site.

The outlet is located in Marina Gate Residences in Dubai, UAE.

Dodo Brands launched its first Drinkit coffee shop in Moscow in August 2020 and currently operates eight outlets across Russia. The Dubai dual-brand location is the coffee chain’s first international site.

A digital-focused coffee shop, Drinkit encourages customers to use its app to select, customise and order beverages, before collecting at in-store smart collection counters.

According to the company, 70% of orders are currently made via the Drinkit app

“A distinctive feature of Drinkit is its processability. In the application, you can customize the taste of coffee as desired: choose the temperature, toppings, type of coffee and milk. You can order it in advance, and then pick it up from the smart issue. In the new coffee shop, we focused on specialty coffee — filter and V60, our signature drinks and the famous cheese crema,” said Katerina Borodich, СЕО, Drinkit Dubai.

Founded by Fyodor Ovchinnikov in 2011 in Syktyvkar, Russia, Dodo Brands now operates 893 stores of its Dodo Pizza, Drinkit and fast-food Doner42 brands across 16 countries, including China, Germany and Vietnam.

Dodo Brands achieved revenue growth of 45% in its third quarter of last year, reaching RUB 15bn ($218m) for the three months ended 30 September 2022.
