La Marzocco has opened a new office and showroom in France and announced current World Barista Champion Anthony Douglas as its new official Global Ambassador.

The Italian espresso machine manufacturer said its Paris office will function as ‘the epicentre’ for its operational development in the French market and provide a knowledge hub for the country’s growing specialty coffee community.

Additionally, La Marzocco has announced Anthony Douglas as its new official Global Ambassador.

In a short statement, Douglas said he looks forward to sharing his expertise in craft and innovation with the Italian company across their renowned range of commercial and at-home coffee machines.

“This partnership with La Marzocco is something I hold very close to the heart. I’ve spent over a decade working behind their machines and equipment and have seen nothing but constant innovation and refinement, pushing the boundaries of coffee quality in the café and at home,” Douglas said.

The World Barista Championship is an annual international coffee competition focusing on promoting excellence in coffee and advancing the barista profession.

The annual championship event serves as the culmination of local and regional events globally. Douglas won the 2022 iteration in Melbourne, Australia, in September 2022.
