Selecta Group has announced Jan Marck Vrijlandt as new Interim CEO of Selecta Italy, a role he will combine with his Group Chief Commercial Officer position.

The Swiss automated coffee and food operator said the appointment will help drive its growth in the Italian market where it is developing a range of premium solutions.

A press release said Selecta Italy is positioning itself for long-term growth in the Italian food tech market, offering a new, premium range of coffee and food solutions in modern vending formats for both workplaces and on-the-go customers.

Vrijlandt has worked for Selecta for more than 27 years, serving as Group Chief Commercial Officer since December 2021.

He previously served as Managing Director for Selecta in Spain, Belgium and the UK.

“I am looking forward to the new challenge at Selecta and I am convinced that we have great opportunities to conquer the market in Italy with our innovative food tech solutions in the coming years,” he said.

Headquartered in Cham, Switzerland, Selecta Group offers coffee and food vending solutions from partners including Nestlé, Lavazza, Red Bull and Mars Wrigley to workplaces and public spaces across Europe.

In November 2022 Selecta Group reported robust third quarter results, driven by product price increases and new business contracts across the company’s 16 European markets.

The Swiss automated coffee and food vending operator achieved revenue growth of 14% to reach €297m ($291m) in the three months ended 30 September 2022.
