Decent packaging, a leading provider of compostable and sustainable packaging solutions, has announced its launch into the European market this April. With the new European Plastic Bans coming into effect in 2023, the move is aimed at addressing the growing demand for eco-friendly packaging alternatives.

Sam Chote, the CEO of decent packaging, shared his thoughts on the launch, saying: "We are excited to bring our sustainable packaging solutions to Europe. We believe that our compostable packaging can help address the environmental issues caused by traditional plastic packaging. Our products are made from plant-based materials and are designed to break down quickly, leaving no harmful residue behind."

Chote also emphasised the importance of compostable packaging in the face of the new plastic bans, especially affecting the post-covid recovering hospitality industry. "As we navigate the implementation of the new plastic bans in Europe, it is crucial that we focus on sustainable alternatives for our customers and their consumers. Compostable takeaway packaging is an excellent solution to our plastic-waste problem as it works within a circular economy, breaking down into nutrient-rich soil, promoting the growth of new plants."

The launch in Europe is a timely response to the growing demand for sustainable packaging solutions. Not only with the plastic bans coming into play, but with consumers becoming increasingly aware of the impact of traditional plastic packaging on the environment, there is a need for alternative solutions that are both eco-friendly and practical.

Decent packaging's compostable products offer a viable solution to this problem. Made from renewable plant-based materials, they have a range of home and commercially compostable items which can break down into natural elements within a matter of weeks. This means that they can be safely disposed of without harming the environment, while also providing a valuable source of organic matter for agriculture.

Decent packaging's entry into the European market is a welcome development, offering consumers a sustainable, practical alternative to traditional plastic packaging - with next day delivery, custom branding, simple online ordering and product end of life solutions. As the official sustainable packaging partner for the European Coffee Festivals this year, their presence will ensure that the events are as waste-free as possible.

The future of compostable packaging looks bright, and decent packaging is at the forefront of this important movement.
