Lavazza has strengthened its ties with UK football after extending its sponsorship of Arsenal’s men’s team and becoming the official coffee partner of Arsenal Women.
The multi-year deal will see Lavazza coffee served at all Arsenal Women home games at the football club’s Emirates Stadium in London. Lavazza will also continue as the exclusive coffee supplier at the Emirates Stadium for Arsenal’s men’s matches, which it has sponsored since 2018.
Its coffee ranges will be available at 150 hospitality boxes, with its premium single origin Kafa Forest Coffee served in all VIP and player lounges and at key points of sale within the stadium.
“We are proud to be extending our partnership with Arsenal Football Club and to welcome Arsenal Women into our family”, said Pietro Mazzà, Regional Director UK & Nordics and General Manager Lavazza UK.
“Since 2017, Lavazza has been working to support the 17 goals set by the UN. This partnership showcases our commitment to supporting goal number five, which is focused on gender equality, working to empower all women and girls,” Mazzà added.
The deal could also expose Lavazza to a larger broadcast audience, with FA Women’s Super League (WSL) attracting a total season audience of 14.5 million in the UK.
Lavazza has formed strong ties with sports organisations in recent years and has also been the official coffee partner of Liverpool Football Club since 2018. In July 2021, the Italian coffee roaster marked ten years
of being the official coffee partner of The Wimbledon Championships.
In September 2020 it signed a major sponsorship deal
with Italian football club Juventus. The agreement saw Lavazza branding displayed pitch-side on Serie A and Coppa Italia matches and at the Juventus Training Centre. Lavazza will also be the exclusive coffee vendor at Juventus’ Allianz Stadium in Turin, Italy.
In November 2020, Lavazza became the Platinum Partner of the NITTO ATP Final 2021-2025 and renewed partnerships with Roland Garros and Lavazza Tennis Ambassadors.
