Costa Coffee appoints Cecile Angrand as Chief Marketing Officer

The former Bel, Nespresso and Cadbury executive will lead the coffee chain’s brand, digital, loyalty, product innovation, insights and corporate affairs marketing teams

Costa Coffee has appointed industry veteran Cecile Angrand as its new Chief Marketing Officer. 
 

Angrand joined the UK-based coffee chain from French healthy food group Bel, where she served as Chief Growth Officer.  


Prior to Bel, Angrand worked for Swiss coffee pod giant Nespresso as Head of Innovation, Strategy and Insights as well as European Innovation Director for confectionery brand Cadbury. 


Angrand will lead Costa Coffee’s global marketing staff across brand, digital, loyalty, product innovation, insights and corporate affairs. Reporting to both Costa Coffee CEO Philippe Schaillee and Coca-Cola Company Global Chief Marketing Officer Manuel Arroyo, Angrand will sit on Costa Coffee’s Global Executive team and Coca-Cola's Global Marketing Executive team.

Headquartered in Bedfordshire, UK, Costa Coffee operates over 4,000 stores across 45 markets. The coffee chain was acquired by Atlanta-based Coca-Cola for £3.9bn ($5.4bn) in 2018.
