US bakery-café chain Shipley Do-Nuts said it is well-positioned to meet its ‘aggressive growth goals’ after adding 80 new units to its store development pipeline.

The Texas-based business opened eight new stores in the second quarter and achieved a 14th consecutive quarter of like-for-like sales growth. Shipley Do-Nuts expects to further add to its 360 stores in the second half of 2024 after signing 11 multi-unit deals in the three months ending 30 June 2024.

New outlets are planned for Colorado and Maryland, while first units in North Carolina and Virginia are also scheduled to open over the next few months.

In a press release, Shipley Do-Nuts highlighted Georgia as a key growth state in its bid to nearly double the size of its store portfolio by 2028. The bakery-café chain sees potential to open nearly 100 new sites across the cities of Atlanta, Savannah, Augusta and Columbus.

“With our faster development cycle, new stores now in the pipeline and some major multi-unit deals in the works, we are on pace to meet our aggressive growth goals,” said Keith Sizemore, Senior Vice President of Franchise Development.

In August 2023, Shipley Do-Nuts announced plans to open its first stores in the US Midwest across the states of Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri and Ohio.
