Greggs and UK fashion retailer Primark to release second collection 
 

Having first collaborated in February 2022, UK food-to-go and coffee chain Greggs has revealed a second branded clothing collection with fashion retailer Primark. Launching in August, the new music festival-themed 21-piece line includes bodysuits, bike shorts, bumbags and bucket hats with Greggs branding. Hannah Squirrell, Customer Director at Greggs, said the company was excited to team up with Primark again to ‘deliver more fun and unique pieces that Greggs fans will wear with pride across the summer and beyond’. 
 

German luxury retailer Hugo Boss opens first BOSS Café 
 

Luxury fashion retailer Hugo Boss has opened its first BOSS Café. The pop-up coffee shop, located in Hugo boss' new flagship store in Rome will be open until November 2022. The launch sees the German clothing company follow in the footsteps of US luxury fashion brand Ralph Lauren, which operates permanent locations of Ralph’s Coffee in Tokyo, Beijing, London, Munich, Doha and Kyoto, and British fashion brand Jimmy Choo, which opened a café in London’s luxury department store Harrods earlier this month. 
 

Nestlé to launch Nescafé Gold ice cream in Malaysia


Nestlé is to launch its first Nescafé Gold cappuccino ice cream in Malaysia. The Swiss food and beverage giant’s Global Head of Confectionery and Ice Cream Alexander von Maillot said that the company was taking the Nescafé coffee experience and ‘recreating it in the ice cream category’. The new product will be available in Malaysia from August 2022.
 

Pret’s Canadian trial underway as first store opens within Vancouver A&W 

 

UK-based food and coffee chain Pret A Manger has opened its first location in Canada within an A&W store in Vancouver. A two-year trial partnership with the Canadian restaurant chain was confirmed in June 2022 with a range of Pret products to be sold within select A&W outlets over the period. A&W operates more than 1,000 restaurants across Canada and, although neither party has confirmed how many stores will be involved in the trial, A&W's Food Services division will have exclusive franchisee rights to expand the Pret brand across Canada if the trial is successful. Images of the new concept store show a Pret-branded storefront, fridges, counters, dining space and dedicated Pret A Manger staff. 
 

Saudi Coffee Company to promote coffee heritage in new partnership 


The Saudi Coffee Company has signed an agreement with the Saudi Arabian Culinary Arts Commission to promote Saudi Arabia’s diverse culinary heritage. The Saudi Coffee Company, launched to boost national coffee production, with an initial target from 300 to 2,500 tons annually, said the cooperation will promote Saudi Arabia’s coffee products as ‘one rooted in the past, present and future of Saudi society’. The agreement was signed by Raja Al Harbi, CEO, Saudi Coffee Company, and Mayada Badr, CEO, the Culinary Arts Commission. 
 

Belgian Post Group to deliver and collect Nespresso coffee capsules  

 

Swiss coffee pod giant Nespresso has signed an agreement with the Belgian Post Group (bpost) for the delivery and collection of capsules. The agreement seeks to improve coffee capsule recycling rates with bpost delivering Nespresso capsules, machines and cleaning products to residential addresses across Belgium and overseeing the collection and transfer of the capsules to the recycling company.
