European operators reap the rewards of Lattiz’s complete milk foaming system

Whether serving a traditional cappuccino or beautiful latte art, Lattiz is empowering hospitality business growth with a reliable, consistent, and hygienic in-store milk foaming solution

European consumers’ love of milk-based coffee beverages shows no sign of slowing, with lattes and cappuccinos continuing to experience strong demand in coffee shops across the Continent. As many operators look towards trading recovery following Covid-19 disruption, getting that all-important milk foam right every time is essential to ensuring repeat trade and staying ahead in Europe’s increasingly competitive hospitality market.

For operators juggling all types of milk foaming equipment – along with the added burden of maintaining those units and training staff to use them across multiple outlets – Lattiz offers a complete milk foaming system to ensure operational efficiency, product consistency, and enhanced hygiene.

Developed by milk expert FrieslandCampina, alongside baristas and coffee professionals, Lattiz’s milk foaming system is the product of 140 years of milk expertise. The patented technology delivers high-quality milk foaming at the push of button, enabling operators to focus on growing their business with optimal efficiency. With hygiene a key concern of consumers visiting coffee shops as Covid-19 restrictions ease, Lattiz offers the benefit of a closed system that removes the need for cleaning, as well as any contact between baristas and the milk foam.

According to petrol station forecourt giant Shell, coffee sales have increased more than 15% since the introduction of Lattiz across its Dutch operations.

The benefits are also being felt elsewhere across Europe: “Thanks to Lattiz, we can successfully tackle the three major challenges – quality, product stability and hygiene,” said Jan-Christoph Egerer, CEO, Müller Egerer Deine Backstube, a boutique coffee shop business with 60 coffee shops across Germany.

Every Lattiz pack contains four litres of concentrated milk, with hot water and air added in the machine to create the perfect milk foam. Depending on customisable settings, operators can make milk foam for up to 140 cappuccinos of 180ml.

“You get perfect milk foam at the touch of a button. In the meantime, you can prepare the saucers very efficiently. It is also hygienic, because there is no contact between the milk product and the machine. And you prevent waste, because you can set the quantities exactly. Especially if you work with part-timers, it is important that you can guarantee a consistent quality,” added De Roerdomp, Zevenhuizen.
