Matthew Algie launches ‘Heroes of Hospitality’ award

Glasgow-based coffee roastery, Matthew Algie, is seeking to highlight outstanding achievements by the coffee shop industry’s finest people, with the launch of a new industry award  



Matthew Algie is seeking recognise the contribution of coffee shop employees in the UK & Ireland who have worked tirelessly throughout the pandemic to serve their communities and keep the coffee flowing. 

 

“The past 18 months have not been easy for anyone, but some individuals in our industry have shone like stars in the toughest of times. In celebration of the people that make our industry great, our brand-new award will go a small way to giving back to the pride of the hospitality business,” said Colin Morrison, Group Head of Marketing & Innovation at the Glasgow-based roastery.  

 

Matthew Algie is reaching out to its industry partners to help find a winner. Is there someone on your team who has gone the extra mile for your business, their colleagues, your customers or the local community?  Perhaps they have been particularly adept at keeping people smiling. Maybe they've given their time to a good cause. Or has an employee or colleague's ingenuity and creativity elevated your business? 

 

Nominations are open to all Matthew Algie customers until the end of October. You can enter multiple people in separate nominations. It should only take a few minutes, but it could go a long way to giving back. 

 

The winner will be announced in November and will receive £500 worth of prizes. The stories of extraordinary employees will be shared on social media along the way.
