UK specialty coffee roaster Origin Coffee has appointed Jax Jackson as its Head of Wholesale. 
 

In a press release, Origin Coffee said Jackson will lead its wholesale strategy and support CEO Tom Sobey in driving the brand’s growth ambitions. 

“We’re thrilled to welcome Jax to our team. His background and experience align perfectly with our mission. I’m looking forward to working with Jax to raise the bar even higher in delivering exceptional service and products to our valued partners and customers during this next phase of growth for Origin,” Sobey said. 

Jackson joins the Cornwall-based business from German specialty coffee roaster The Barn, where he held international accounts and wholesale roles, most recently as Global Head of B2B. His coffee background also includes nearly five years as Director of London-based Brooklyn Coffee, which closed in 2019.

Founded in 2004, Origin Coffee opened its first coffee shops in 2015 and currently operates six outlets across Cornwall, London and Bristol. In March 2024, Origin coffee announced plans to build on its strong wholesale presence in Edinburgh by opening an outlet in the Scottish capital this spring. 

In October 2023, the specialty coffee roaster received £3.1m ($3.8m) investment to scale its digital, direct-to-consumer, retail and wholesale channels.
