Indian instant coffee retailer Rage Coffee has inaugurated a new manufacturing facility in Manesar, Haryana.

Founded in 2018, Rage Coffee manufactures, markets and distributes retail packaged coffee products via its website, online marketplaces and over 1,000 offline touch points.

The 30,000sq ft manufacturing and blending facility will house production, storage and warehousing operations. Rage Coffee said it will increase production capacity by eight times its current output, delivering eight tonnes of coffee daily.

Founder and CEO Bharat Sethi said the FMCG business is experiencing a threefold surge in both demand and production compared to the previous financial year, driven by enhanced regional distribution and greater brand appeal.

Rage Coffee currently sells its instant coffee products in 32 Indian cities and plans to expand its market presence to an additional 10 cities by the end of 2023.

“We are thrilled to inaugurate our advanced manufacturing and blending facility, marking a major milestone for Rage Coffee. This expansion underscores our commitment to providing exceptional coffee products to our customers. With the increased production capacity, we are well-positioned to cater to the rising market demand and serve a wider consumer base. The facility's design and state-of-the-art machinery reflect our dedication to delivering excellence at every level. We are confident that this strategic investment will propel us towards even greater success in the retail industry,” a Rage Coffee spokesperson said.

Scaling production has been in the pipeline for Rage Coffee since a $5m funding round in 2021, with construction of the Haryana facility starting in October 2021. The investment, led by Sixth Sense Ventures, was also earmarked for new product launches, marketing and expanding the brand’s online presence and offline footprint.
