Kuwait-based franchisee Pinnacle Group has opened the first Toby’s Estate outlet in the UAE. 
 

Founded in Sydney in 1998, the specialty roaster and café group operates 17 stores in Australia alongside 22 cafés across Indonesia, Singapore and the Philippines. 
 

After signing a franchise agreement with Toby’s Estate Coffee Roasters to grow the specialty coffee roaster and café chain across the Gulf Cooperation Council region, Pinnacle Group launched the very first GCC branch in Sharq, Kuwait, in 2016.

The brand’s first UAE store, located at Dubai Hills Mall, adds to the 15 Toby’s Estate outlets operated by Pinnacle Group across Kuwait, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. A second UAE store is set to open in the Jumeirah region of Dubai before the end of 2023. 

Opened in February 2022, the two million square foot Dubai Hills Mall shopping centre comprises more than 700 retail and dining outlets, including a wide range of coffee shops. 

US coffee chain Starbucks and Canada’s Tim Hortons both have three outlets at the venue, with other coffee operators including UK-based Costa Coffee, Australia’s The Coffee Club, US chains Peet’s Coffee and Dunkin’, as well as domestic brands Coffee Planet and Common Grounds.
