Oregon-based Black Rock Coffee Bar has set its sights on reaching 200 US stores by the end of 2026.

Founded in 2008, the coffee chain currently has 115 outlets across the states of Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Oregon, Texas and Washington.

Black Rock Coffee Bar expects to generate more than $150m in sales for the first time in 2023 and plans to open 30 new stores annually.

Black Rock Coffee Bar opened its 100th US coffee shop in November 2021 with a store in Chandler, Arizona. The coffee chain reached 125 stores earlier this year before selling 13 of its outlets in Washington to Wake Up Call for an undisclosed sum in May 2023.

World Coffee Portal forecasts the 38,500-strong branded US coffee shop market, led by Seattle-based Starbucks with 16,144 stores, will reach 41,900 outlets by 2027.
